ELTRINGHAM FISHINGS ON THE TYNE
THE BEAT
On average over 40.000 salmon run the Tyne every year, and all these fish are coming through
this part of the River.
The Beat provides space for 10 rods and has 12 named pools.
Sunday fishing is permitted.
The downriver boundary is approximately 3 miles upriver from the tidal water. It is the south bank
of the river Tyne and extends from there 1.6 miles upriver.
The fish are generally covered in sea lice,
fresh from the sea. There is excellent water for all types of fishing, such as fly fishing or spinning.
If required a ghillie ( fish guide ) can be booked from 9 am until 5 pm.
